PROFILE
Anthony Wemyss, that's me, is a Hypnotherapist and Massage Therapist by trade.
Having completed a Diploma in Health (Clinical Hypnosis) and a Master
Hypnotherapist as well, with a study into Hypnosis and Child Birth. The
massage has evolved over the past 10 years with courses in Shiatsu, Swedish Massage, Therapeutic and Hawiian Lomi Lomi as well as watching and experiencing other amazing
therapists such as Jon Wemyss my brother, Mette Sorensen, and Lesley
Jackson. That coupled with meditation and ever growing spiritual focus is
helping to make life far more interesting than it ever has been. If I can
imagine the change in the past 15 years as being huge imagine what the next
70 years or so will be like!
After 17 and a bit years in the Victoria Police and resigning as a
Detective Sergeant, yes it is a big change. Life, as they say, is constantly
changing and evolving around us so why not go with and change as well.
Without change there is stagnation, with stagnation there is decay. Change
sounds a lot better than decay!
Acting is another passion, and after ten years of training and finally
doing the improbable in moving to Los Angeles, I have to say that acting is one of the greatest
therapies I have found. The act of being another character or putting on a
mask can change us in subtle or dramatic ways. One often wonders why it
takes some so long to find the things we are most passionate about, whereas
for others they find it in their youth. I am just grateful to have found
acting, hypnotherapy, spirituality and massage as the things in life I find
enlightening and challenging.
There are some people who have left an indelible mark on my life for
which I am truly grateful. Some of it I chose to make painful (Hi and thanks to those wondorus women), others
joyful (Thanks again ladies). Either way, I can now see it as so important to who I am and where I
am heading. Plus, I have also met and am friends with some of the most
amazing people I have ever met on this planet as a result.
Finally I have to mention and give thanks to those who have had a
profound impact on my life. Sandra Biskind has been a great mentor and friend since 1996 and has given me some of the best insights and profound awakenings of anyone I have met. Anthony Robbins came into my life when I
attended one of his seminars in 2001. Since that time I have been taken on
an amazing journey, full of revelation, wonder, pain, tears and joy. It is
not until you have a great teacher reveal yourself to you that you can
truly change yourself. Sri AmmaBhagavan are a couple of everyday gurus from India who literally fried my brain when I was there for their 21 day process way back in 2004 and again in 2005. I have never had experiences of the mind and body that profound and still do to this day as a result of the energy transmissions given in India. I feel truly blessed by their presence in my life. Dr John Demartini popped into my life in 2006 as I began to explorre the role and importance of positivity and negativity in our lives. He has since destroyed many of my firmly held beliefs and ideas about God, Universe and how we as humans process information. I am truly indebted to his teachings. And finally as I write this in 2009 I have to acknowledge an essence which I tend to dismiss as having influenced my life, and that is of my own magnificent soul/self. Without its brilliance and guidance I would not be the being I am today. Thanks soul :)
